Inspected issues with low flow and on hot side of kitchen faucet and issues with properly mixing hot and cold water at kitchen faucet. After thorough inspection technician concluded the issue was with the point of use hot water heater which required a lot of flow to start the heating element and was restricting the flow. Technician proposed to install a comfort tee and utilize the tankless water heaters built-in recirculation pump, warning this may not fully solve the issue of how quickly hot water arrives and would only help the kitchen faucet as the home is on a manifold system. Recommend waiting a few weeks to allow tankless unit to learn water habits before concluding a verdict on effectiveness of the comfort tee.

Customer called about a leak in basement. Customer stated they found leak as of last night and are uncertain if issue has been present for longer. TP arrived and inspected area where leak occurred. Several water lines are present and all are intact. Found a break on ventilation connected to furnace. Insulation in vent pipe is wet and moist. Advise to have an HVAC contractor inspect vent. Checked water pressure to home and found it to be safe at 50psi.

Customer called to have sewer line inspected. TP arrived and located a clean out in crawlspace of home. Drains in home are PVC, as well as clean out. There is 16ft of original cast iron past the clean out in crawlspace. Introduced sewer camera into line and found that the cast iron is in decent condition and will need replacement in future. 4” cast iron transitions into 6” concrete in front of home, near gas meter. Depth at this transition is about 3ft. Found a break in sewer line about 30ft downstream. Depth at break is 6’10”. Advise to replace sewer line at this time, instead of repair. Will leave options for replacement in attachments. There is 10ft of pipe past the break that still needs to be inspected.
Provided second opinion on sewer inspection.
Cast iron drain pipe inside the crawl space exits the home in front/near the front door and patio.
Approximately 4/5’ deep.
There is a root ball, and also what appears to be a broken pipe or separation just past the root intrusion.
Due to the location and scope of work.
I provided two different options.
To make a proper repair to this sewer line, we will have to excavate and remove a section of the concrete side walk.
Replace up to 20’ of piping outside and going into the crawl space.
We will then connect to existing cast iron or concrete pipe outside the home and install a new cleanout.
Due to the age and condition of this sewer line, I recommend replacing the entire line from the house to the street, along with the water service line as it is original galvanized water pipe and it will be in our way during excavation.
Customer was experiencing a clog at toilet. Technician started with a toilet auger and successfully cleared the stoppage. Tested by flushing multiple times with toilet paper to ensure it was fully cleared.
Replaced existing 3/4” pressure reducing valve and installed a sewer popper on the outside cleanout.
*True Plumbing does not warranty any existing CPVC water lines that are existing near the PRV.
Removed existing sink strainer and installed a new garbage disposal. Testified for leaks. Customer experiencing low water pressure. Performed a dynamic pressure test and the water pressure dropped 30 psi from turning on the kitchen faucet. Recommended replacing the pressure reducing valve as a first step to resolving the issue.
Please refer to attached estimates to replace current outdoor hose spigot!
Thank you!
Homeowner called for sewer scope inspection of property. Arrived at property to conduct sewer scope inspection. Firstly, inspected crawlspace of property. Inspected full length of sewer line until city tap. City tap is located in street.
Upon inspection, homeowner has PVC for majority of sewer line in front yard. Just after 6” cleanout in yard a section of 6” concrete sewer line can be seen as damaged. Top section of concrete piping can be seen beginning to collapse. Please refer to camera inspection video and pictures for section of damaged pipe. Located and marked depth of damaged section to be 4’6” in front yard of property. Please refer to attached estimate to replace section of main sewer line.

Ran camera down cleanout by house. Found line to be mostly clear. Noticed only one issue. The camera saw a few roots where the PVC sewer line connects to city sewer. The roots are not a concern at the moment but it can continue to grow in which may be an issue in the future. Could not run camera backwards to check section of cast iron.
Pulled toilet and ran camera for the section of cast iron running through foundation. Cast iron is rusty on the inside but clear with a few clumps of what appears to be toilet paper.
Customer called for bathroom toilet clog. Arrived at property to inspect. Customer stated that bathtub stopper may have been flushed down toilet by mistake. Inspected piping in crawlspace and due to drain for toilet being cast-iron. It is recommended to pull toilet to auger and prevent foreign object from passing down into mainline, possibly causing a back up. Checked pressure to property and static pressure is at 75 psi. Pulled toilet and ran auger through toilet. Removed tub stopper from toilet. Reset toilet with new bolts, wax ring, and supply line. Tested toilet thoroughly and adjusted fill valve for optimal flush. Toilet is flushing properly.

Customer had issues with a leak from refrigerator line, stopper in upstairs lavatory sink not actuating, and leak under upstairs lavatory sink.
Technician found line on refrigerator is too short to connect to filter, unfortunately will need to have an appliance technician repair this as this line is connected inside the refrigerator.
Technician could not find a leak at lavatory sink, but found faucet was a bit loose and tightened it up, water may have been finding its way between the faucet and countertop prior to tightening.
Found that stopper wasn’t actuating due to rusted out lever. Technician recommends replacing pop-up assembly.
Customer called for dishwasher not working properly. Arrived at property to diagnose. Drain hose for dishwasher is installed correctly and kitchen drain is working. Replaced pressure regulator and main shut off to property. Restored water to property and pressure has been set to 65psi.
Customer also called for kitchen sink that is dripping. Removed failed hot side cartridge to inspect. Current cartridge will need replaced. Bottom of cartridge is disintegrating upon removal. Reinstalled cartridge and turned hot side angle stop off for kitchen sink. Please refer to attached estimate to replace cartridge or replace faucet.

Customer called about a clog on garbage disposal line and a leak underneath sink. TP arrived and determined that source of leak underneath sink is due to a failed basket strainer. Water is leaking at connection. Will leave estimate for replacement. Customer stated a secondary sink no longer holding water. Estimate for replacement will be in attachments.
Snaked garbage disposal drain line. Food waste and grease contributed to clog. Advised to place animal fat/grease in trash and do not pour into drain. Tested by pouting several gallons of water into disposal. Drain has good flow now.
Removed hallway bath aerator and found it was clogged. Cleaned and reinstalled and found it had improved flow. Also diagnosed an issue with the front hose bibb that we previously repaired. Found that the vacuum breaker was faulty, and unable to be replaced. I replaced the hose bibb with 1/4 turn hose bibb with a male adapter for easy service. Pressurized system and tested for leaks.
Returned to hydrojet drain lines under slab from toilet flange, successfully removed roots from drain, scoped rest of drain to sewer ejection pump to ensure no more roots were in the line, found a few minor bellies that are not really a concern. Roots had been much finer than anticipated, they had just been to dense for camera to push through initially. At sewer ejection pump, technician bypassed float and fully pumped out basin, looking through opening where wires enter basin technician performed visual inspection and found no roots were in basin and were likely easily ground up by sewer ejection pump due to how fine/thin the roots were. Find Al scope of drain line revealed no more roots, and the root intrusion had come from a minor hole in the top of the pipe.
Technician reset toilet with new wax ring, supply line, toilet bolts and caps. Rebuilt tank with new fill valve and flapper. Tested multiple times and caulked around the base. Flushed root killer down the drain to keep roots an
Attempted to clear toilet via auger unsuccessfully, pulled toilet and ran camera and found roots growing into drain lines under slab, will return next day to hydro jet the lines to remove roots.
