Customer was experiencing a stoppage affecting multiple fixtures in home, technician pulled two toilets, one to replace wax ring, and the other for better access to clear stoppage, after clearing stoppage technician ran camera and found 12’ out the camera was hitting something hard. Technician saw remnants of roots indicating there is a larger root growing through pipe. Located where root intrusion is and wrote up quote to dig up and replace section of pipe as well as install a clean-out.

Arrived at residence for dripping sound in the walls. Homeowner would also like for me to go over how to winterize their house. Found that dripping/knocking sound was coming from behind kitchen cabinet. Opened up small drywall on other side of wall to see if I could see any moisture. No moisture was found. Next solution was to cut a small hole in the paneling of the cabinet to investigate. Behind the paneling and the drywall was the main stack for the second story. It is my belief that the stack was sandwiched with the cabinet in the drywall between the wall and when water would hit it, it would expand/contract, making a knocking noise. There’s no moisture or water issues were found with the pipe at this time. Also, while at the house, homeowner had me investigate dripping of a shower in a bathtub. In my investigation found that the house pressure was sitting at 95psi. This caused by a failed pressure reducing valve. Shut water off the home and replaced the pressure reducing valve. Got

Arrived at the property, and customers water heater is indicating there is no pilot light. I got the pilot light to turn on, and held the gas flow button for over a minute. The thermopile never turned on, thus not telling the gas control valve to take over. Once I removed pressure off the button, the pilot light goes out. This is an indication that the thermopile and gas control valve are not operating as they should. Water heater was manufactured in 2017. Due to the age of the unit, nearing the end of its life, we recommended replacing the water heater. Provided an estimate to do so. Have a wonderful new year!

Arrived at property for a leaking toilet. Homeowner stated that toilet is leaking from base. Checked water pressure to property and static pressure is 59 psi. Turned off water at angle stop for toilet and pulled toilet to inspect flange and wax seal. Flange can be seen as damaged and is not correctly bolted to flooring. Scope of work is to install new flange and reset toilet. Secured new flange ring to flooring and installed new wax ring. New bolts have been used and toilet is secured. New supply line has been installed and toilet has been tested throughly. Caulking has been used on toilet. Recommended to let caulking dry for full 24hours.

12/30/25 Customer called about a leak at base of toilet. TP arrived and found d that supply line is leaking. Replaced supply line and tested toilet. Found leak at full valve connection. Replaced fill valve and flapper. Tested for leak and NO LEAKS.

Arrived at residence to investigate possible shower pan failure. In the visual inspection from below, saw places where water intrusion had happened below the pan. Different spots of wood are stained with slight mold growth and slightly damp to the touch. Ran water and held it in the pan for a few seconds, and that’s all it took for the water to slowly seep through. Thank you for choosing True plumbing for all your plumbing needs!

Arrived at residence for a leak in the ceiling. Upon investigation found best course of action was to cut drywall. When cutting drywall found caped Cast-iron pipe slowly leaking. Investigated more thoroughly and found that this is a old stack pipe going up out of the roof of the house. My best guess is when renovations were done. The pipe was changed to PVC and not need it any longer, so they just tapped off the bottom of it. Over the years rainwater has gathered in the pipe. Punctured fernco cap and drained down 22 gallons of water out of pipe. Replaced with new cap. Please have handyman install a 4 inch fernco cap on top of the stack coming from the roof of the house. It is my belief this will not cause air gap issues, but if it does, we will return with different solutions. Homeowner also requested new whole home Shut off valve as the current one is leaking when off. Cut off water to home. Drained down and installed new valve. Turned water back on to home and tested, found no leaks.

Customer has two disposals for the kitchen sink. The disposal on the right side is actively leaking when water is running. This disposal has rusted out and needs to be replaced. The way the drain is currently connected is improper. There is no proper vent for this kitchen drain line. Provided an estimate on repairs.

Provided estimate on installation of new lavatory faucet and shutoff valves, customer interested in having brush nickel shutoff valves.

Used mini plunger to clear lavatory drain, filled up sink multiple times made sure it’s draining good

Arrived on site to investigate a non-functioning garbage disposal at the downstairs bar sink. Upon inspection, observed significant internal rust buildup inside the disposal chamber, consistent with age-related corrosion that can cause the internal components to seize and stop operating properly. Checked the unit data plate and confirmed the garbage disposal was manufactured in 2011, making replacement the most practical option due to its age and condition. Presented replacement options and the customer elected to have the garbage disposal replaced while reusing the existing mounting hardware and sink connection components, which were in serviceable condition. The disposal was replaced accordingly, and the reuse of hardware was reflected in a discounted price as requested by the customer. After installation, the new unit and connections were tested and confirmed to be operating properly with no leaks. During the visit, the customer also reported that cold water at the kitchen faucet

Quote to order rebuild parts for in-wall Toto toilet tank and cartridges for free stating tub fixture to correct dripping/running.

12/30/25 Customer called about a leaking shut off to a toilet. TP arrived and checked water pressure to home. Home pressure is high at 80psi. Advise to replace Pressure Regulator valve to home. Shut water off to home and replaced shut off valve to toilet. Turned water back on and tested for leaks. NO Leaks. Will leave estimate for PRV replacement. Advised customer to monitor home for symptoms, i.e. Extended drip on fixtures, intermittent filling of commode tank, irregular flow of water while multiple fixtures are in use.

Customer states powder room toilet would sometimes siphon out. No reports of bubbling or gurgling toilet. We pulled the toilet and inspected the drain line inside the home. No issues found. We then went outside to the exterior cleanout near the home. Inspected the sewer line all the way to the curb, we see some minor root intrusion growing, but not enough to cause a blockage. This is on the county side. Recommend returning a year from now to inspect the sewer line. If you notice bubbling or gurgling toilets, this is a major symptom that a stoppage is occuring. If the toilet siphoning continues, it could be a partially blocked vent pipe, or an issue with the toilet.

Replace 4” hand washing faucet with TP provided faucet. Replaced slip joint seals under sink strainers on the prep sink. The sink strainers are not in great condition and more leaks could appear. If more leaks appear, sink strainers and p traps will likely need to be replaced. Checked for leaks. No leaks were found.

Arrived at property to inspect four toilets for replacement. Toilets appear to be original to property. Two toilets can be seen to have damage to toilet tanks and will need replaced. A pressure check has been performed for toilet replacement estimate. Water pressure is 49 psi to residence. Measured toilets and provided estimate to homeowner. Please refer to attached estimate for detailed scope of work for replacement. Note: Recommend to turn water off to all damaged toilets in property until replacements can be made.

Arrived at property for leak underneath outdoor kitchen sink. Inspected piping underneath outdoor sink and supply line for faucet can been seen as disconnected. Water is currently off to faucet upon arrival. Confirmed pressure at residence is at a safe level and static psi to property is 59psi. Angle stop valves and supply lines will need replaced for faucet. Due to age of supply lines replacing both is recommended. Installed new valves on 1/2” PEX piping and faucet supply lines have been installed. Tested connections and system is in proper working order. Turned water off to faucet at shut off valve located inside main residence. Water from new supply lines have been drained to avoid freezing until ready for use. Recommended to add insulation on outdoor piping underneath kitchen faucet. Homeowner inquired to temperature in master bathroom shower. Inspected anti-scald setting of both shower cartridges and both are set to hottest temperature setting. Adjusted temperature on dual elec

Arrived at residence for pressure issues. Upon investigation found the Pressure reducing valve has failed. Pressure to the home was 110 psi. Shut water down to home and removed old prv. Customers upstairs toilet has a slight gurgle only when flushed. This type of gurgle I have found to be normal for a Kohler toilet. If fixtures start gurgling while other fixtures are turned on - this is symptom of a stoppage and call us immediately. Water heater is original to when the house was built along with the regulator valve. Provided an estimate on replacement.

Replaced existing toilet with a new American Standard Cadet Pro provided by TP. Repaired flange at no additional charge. Checked for leaks. No leaks were found. Applied sealant around base of toilet.

Customers complaint is water not getting hot enough, and dirty/brown water on hot side of fixtures throughout the house. Water heater is 10 years old and past its life expectancy. Due to the age and symptoms that customer described, recommended replacement. Furnish and installed new 50 gallon gas water heater, including new thermal expansion tank with support strap. Furnish and installed new 3/4” pressure regulator valve. Restored water to the home and verified everything operating as it should.

Arrived at property for approved estimate to install new 3/4 pressure regulator valve (PRV) and new 4.8 gallon thermal expansion tank. Shut down water to property at main valve. Drained down system to make new replacements. New PRV has been installed on main service line just after shut off valve for property. New copper connections have been made on existing piping. Installed new 4.8 gallon thermal expansion tank above water heaters. New expansion tank has been pressurized to 66psi and is properly supported. Restored water to property and a pressure check has been performed. Adjusted pressure on newly installed PRV to 60 psi. System is working properly.

Toilet in right bathroom was not flushing properly before arrival. After testing the toilet, it is now flushing properly. Toilet in left bathroom is leaking from the tank to bowl connections when flushed. Customer is planning to replace the toilet. Turned water off to the toilet and removed water from the tank. Vanity sink and tub in the left bathroom are draining slowly. Gently plunged both to help clear away debris. Both are draining some better. There is corrosion that is visible on the outside of the vanity drain pipes. Recommended replacing the sink drains to prevent any future leaks. No leaks observed at this time.

Under sink water filtration is leaking from the filter housing. Recommended replacement of filtration system. Water pressure to the home is around 60 psi. The existing thermal expansion tank is undersized. When two tank water heaters are present, either two thermal expansion tanks or a one large thermal expansion tank are needed. Recommended upsizing thermal expansion tank. The thermal expansion tank maintains safe water pressure when water is heated in the plumbing system. Without a properly sized thermal expansion tank, water pressure can spike much higher than 80 psi. Attempted to remove aerator on left faucet spout in primary bathroom, due to slow water flow. The set screw is seized and would not unscrew to clean the aerator. Recommended customer source faucet spout from manufacturer as a first step in resolving the low flow issues. If this does not resolve the issue, more work on the faucets may need to be done.

12/27/25 Customer called about a back up in home. Customer stated they had a plumber fix a clog on a bathroom 6-7 years ago. Customer lives by self and has family staying during holidays. Back ups just started a few weeks ago. No Active back up in home. Inspected drain/sewer line of home via clean-out in basement. Majority of sewer line is 6in concrete in yard and 4in cast iron in home as well as a few feet in yard. Found breaks on base of 4in cast iron. There are several “trenches” on drain line in basement. Found root intrusions on concrete pipe in yard. Given condition of pipes a sewer replacement is necessary.
