Max arrived during during the scheduled window and had an estimate for me promptly. I approved the work and had a new water heater up to code later that afternoon. Thanks to all at True Plumbing for getting me back in to hot water.

Cut out of driveway and excavated to expose sewer line, installed a property line clean-out and reworked 10’ of sewer drain for more optimal flow, found water still standing and could not clear stoppage again, ran camera and found it stopped in the street. Call Dekalb watershed who attempted to jet as well before concluding a possibility of a collapsed tap under the street. True Plumbing backfilled the hole, and cleaned up area as best as possible. Customer was experiencing issues with running out of hot water when running multiple fixtures, technician found tankless unit was showing a code 10 indicating a pressure issue in the intake and exhausts. Technician shutdown unit and pulls the intake and exhaust motor, found bits of buildup on the blades/fins and cleaned them up, reinstalled fan motor and tested by running hot water from multiple units. Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 50psi.
Inpected plumbing to quote repiping kitchen and whole home to eliminate polybutylene. Water pressure to home is at a safe level but can replace PRV at customers request. Waived dispatch due to office not mentioning.
Customer was experiencing leak in bathroom under sink technician inspected area and found that a Pressure Regulator on 1/4” line servicing the standalone water dispenser was leaking, tech was able to tighten up connection and stop leak but recommends replacing regulator as leak may return soon. Unfortunately True plumbing does not work with regulator of this size and does not possess equipment to service them. Recommend contacting an appliance technician or and water dispenser technician for service.
Customer was experiencing stoppage affecting second floor bathroom, had toilet ready to be pulled. Technician ran flexshaft until stoppage was cleared, ran water from multiple nearby fixtures to confirm, ran camera as far as possible and saw pipe appeared to be cleared with a possible belly further down the drain line. Cast iron appears to have a round interior which likely snagged toilet tissue and created a soft tissue stoppage, foam on pipe also indicates a drain cleaning solution has been used, technician warned draining cleaning solutions are particularly harsh and corrosive on cast iron. Would be a good idea to replace cast iron with PVC, but due to difficult access technician recommends exploring relining as an option. Customer will reset toilet.

Customer was experiencing bad tasting water, technician checked whole home water filter in crawlspace and found the bypass valve had been left in the on position. Technician shut valve off and recommended waiting at least a few days for water to clear up before considering swapping filter. Water pressure is at a safe level at 76psi. Found water heater is from 2004, left quote on replacing water heater.
Customer was experiencing a stoppage affecting at least one bathroom on the first floor. Technician ran water to test and saw water rush past in the clean-out with a delay anytime toilet paper was flushed, technician suspected a soft tissue stoppage which had cleared itself and belly in the drain line inside the home which the customer confirmed from the previous plumber. Technician offered to pull toilet and run camera to locate belly but warned there may not be enough room between floor joints to improve pitch of drain pipe. Water pressure to home is at a safe level 53psi.
Jetted sewer main from clean-out near home, after running over 100 gallons of water stoppage was still not cleared, technician ran camera and found it suddenly dropped and turned near end of driveway near street indicating pipe may have a major separations or collapsing and is eroding away dirt around pipe. True is providing quote to excavate and expose issue and install property line clean-out as requested by city, city may need come out and repair tap connection. Unable to see full issue on camera due to stoppage.
Work performed as follows: Rerouted sewer drain in basement/cellar to front of home, eliminated remaining section of cast iron on main, exiting out the front of home with PVC and running PVC all the way to sidewalk. Installed a clean-out shortly after pipe exits home as required by code, as well as a 6” property line clean-out. Sealed around pipe on both sides of wall penetration, strapped and secured all new drain pipe in crawlspace. Ran camera to inspect outside line after backfilling, and tested all drains by running fixtures inside home to stress test. True Plumbing did its best to minimize any landscaping damage, but customer is ultimately responsible for the repair of landscaping, retaining walls, and irrigation after work has been completed, minor repairs to encapsulation in cellar may also be needed.
Customer was experiencing issues getting sprayer hot enough in showers. Technician found water heater is operating properly, tech tested fixtures and found after a long enough time every fixture gets extremely hot water. Since technician cannot replicate issue and found recirculation pump is not operating, technician can only recommend replacement of recirculation pump as first step to solving this issue. Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 50psi.
Customer was experiencing stoppage affecting whole home, technician ran sewer machine and pulled back roots, water all drained down. Ran camera from clean-out in crawlspace and found another mass of roots shortly after sewer exits the house. Camera is unable to get past these roots, sewer machine is unable to extract anymore roots. Wrote up estimate to dig up yard and start with a spot repair and clean-out install with option to replace more once the rest of the line is scoped. Reset toilet with new wax ring, supply line, toilet bolts and caps. True plumbing cannot guarantee no future stoppage will occur due to still existing roots and recommend at minimum spot repair with clean-out install.
Technician inspected issues customer was experiencing. Could not find issues with tub and hot water. Kitchen faucet handle is tightened down. Found leak on saddle valve and 1/4” copper line to refrigerator. Leak on water filter dispenser is irreparable unfortunately due to it not made to be serviced. Work performed as follows: Shut down ad drained water to home, cut out section of 3/4” copper to eliminate saddle valve and installed modern 1/4 turn stop valve, replaced about 10’ of 1/4” soft copper to eliminate pinholes. Reinstated water to home and purged as much air as possible out of system. Tested all installed components.
Flushed tankless water heater with solution for about 45 minutes, cleaning incoming filter screen and water sediment trap. Purged solution out and reassembled everything. Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 55psi
Wrote up estimate to reconnect gas meter to house through storage unit.
Moved gas line to range to ensure it would not impede the range from sitting flush to wall. Included new shutoff valve. Reinstated gas to home and tested all installed components to ensure no leaks were present. May need to have electrician move outlet to allow range to sit completely flush to wall.
Toilet in womens restroom was not flushing correctly. Technician rebuilt flushometer with new 1.6GPF diaphragm and vacuum breaker. Reassembled flushometer and tested for proper operation and to ensure no leaks were present.
Removed kitchen faucet and garbage disposal. Provided and installed new kitchen faucet and new 1/2HP garbage disposal with new mounting collar. Tested all installed components.
Customer was experiencing issues with electric tankless water heater, technician inspected unit and found it was receiving power but not heating or powering display. Due to age of unit True can only recommend replacement. Left quote to replace with customer supplied unit as True Plumbing will not supply electric tankless units. Customer was also experiencing an order near gas stove top, technician performed bubble tests on all accessible gas pipes in kitchen but found no gas leaks, nor could the technician smell gas. If issue persists technician recommends either having appliance company or gas company perform tests. Also left quote to perform gas pressure test to check for leaks.
Customer had water stains on ceiling below shower. Technician inspected area. Without cutting Sheetrock technician believes leak is either coming from a failed shower pan or getting past the shower door and through the floor (there is water damage on wood trim near shower door). Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 60psi. Waived dispatch fee due to office not mentioning.
Tenants were experiencing a leak under kitchen sink, technician inspected area and found leak seems to be coming from kitchen faucet do to faucet not fully secured. Technician could not tighten sink down to to rusted out connections. Technician also noticed rust marks from leaks on the garbage disposal. Technician inspected basement bathroom for any potential leaks as requested, found all fixtures were working properly with no leaks at fixtures or around the,. Customer plans on having bathroom renovation in the near future. Technician checked water heater and found it seemed in good condition visually but noted it was from 2003 and left options to replace.

Customer had experienced water flooding into building from the ground. Technician arrived with water shut off to building and no active leaks, inspected area and found it appeared to have come from a conduit running communication and power from outside. Technician reinstated water to building and found it pressurized with no active leaks, tested all drains running fixtures and flushing toilets, found no issues still. Technician concluded water had entered building through conduits running outdoors which seem to have been overwhelmed by ground water overnight.
Work performed as follows: Shut down and drained water to home, replaced Pressure Regulating Valve, and installed thermal expansion tank to correct water pressure. Mounted and secured new thermal expansion tank as required by code. Flushed tankless unit with solution for 45 minutes. Replaced condensate line on tankless unit with CPVC to eliminate corrosion issues. Reinstated water to home, purged as much air out of system as possible, tested all installed components. Set new water pressure to home at 65psi (thermal expansion tank had been set to 65psi as well to pressure match). Placed an access panel where Sheetrock was cut to access PRV.
