Max arrived during during the scheduled window and had an estimate for me promptly. I approved the work and had a new water heater up to code later that afternoon. Thanks to all at True Plumbing for getting me back in to hot water.

Customer had two lavatory faucets leaking from the handles indicating failed cartridges, unfortunately plumber couldn’t access cartridges without permanently damaging faucets. Wrote up quote to replace both faucets and will return once customer has acquired new lavatory faucets. Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 60psi.
Followed up to cut clean-out pipe below concrete, set clean-out cap and iron cover.
Customer is experiencing flow issues especially when running multiple fixtures and/or high flow fixtures. Tech tested pressure and found it was at a safe level at 60psi and dropped to 40 when running another fixture. Pressure Regulator is relatively newer, technician checked filter on regulator and found it is clear. Technician recommends to speak with neighbors and city as this may be an issue before the meter. Left quote to replace Pressure Regulating valve and main shutoff as next step, but cannot guarantee this will solve any issues. Waived dispatch fee.
See attached quote
Inspected issues customer had concerns about, true is able to connect gas stove top but cannot mount it. Inspected fireplace issues but recommend having fireplace company come out for this issue. Inspected tankless venting and found it is a concern for CO leakage into home. Wrote up various options to correct this issue. Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 61psi.
Cleared soft tissue stoppage with camera through two-way Clean-out outside in driveway.
Customer is experiencing leak at foundation, foundation company recommended to call plumbers. Technician checked water meter and found no active leaks were occurring outside or inside the home. Found there was a septic tank nearby where sewer main exits home. Technician believes either there is a crack or separation between foundation and outside clean-out and offered to pull toilet and run camera, or the septic tank leach field is close enough to home to cause leak though foundation. Customer will have septic company investigate first. Waived dispatch fee.
Technician inspected failed thermostatic cartridge by removing handle, consulted with warehouse manager on ordering new part. Found water pressure to h9me was initially over 80psi, leveled off at 67psi after running a fixture which indicates a failed thermal expansion tank, included quote to replace thermal expansion tank to correct this.
Technician performed visual inspections on plumbing inside the home, found all plumbing inside the home appears to be relatively new, found it is all done to code, water heater is a professional grade water heater from a plumbing supply house from about 2024 with thermal expansion tank properly secured, water pressure to home is at a safe level at about 50psi. Technician found a clean-out outside and ran sewer camera, found sewer line is terracotta with some issues, wrote up estimate to replace, please see estimate for more details.
Technician inspected leaking toilet, found leak was due to a failed tank-to-bowl bolt on old peerless toilet. Inspected remaining toilets and found on of the Kohler toilets in the basement had a failed and running fill valve, shutoff toilet at stop. Found two remaining peerless toilets also had some age and corrosion/buildup at bolts. Wrote up various options for quotes. Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 62psi.
Customer initially called true plumbing about steady stream of water coming from 4” PVC drain pipe discharging into creek. After searching True finally found a second buried meter which was water for the house, isolating main inside the home showed meter still tracking water usage meaning a leak was occurring between the meter and the home and finding its way into the French drains surrounding the home. Customer opted to have line fully replaced. Work performed as follows: Trenched from meter to home and replaced with new 1” PEX-a piping, installed new meter nipple to bring up to code, connected to copper inside home with new isolation valve and new Pressure Regulating Valve. Sealed off both side of new penetration through foundation and capped old line. Reinstated water to home and tested all installed components, ensured no other leaks were present. Backfilled trench, left two holes uncovered where irrigation was damaged (unavoidable due to extremely compact dirt with dense root sy
After further investigation plumber found a secondary meter buried in yard which is for the home and other meter is strictly irrigation. Tests found a leak was occurring outside between the home and meter, unable to pinpoint where exactly due to depth of main water line. Will return next day for full replacement of main waterline.
Customer had a leaking shower tower from inside the body. Plumber inspected and found parts inside had failed and are not repairable. Options are to switch to single handle shower valve (holes from mounts to shower tower cannot be repaired and will have to be sealed for water proofing), or replace with new shower tower. Plumber wrote up option to replace with single handle, a shower tower replacement will need to be assessed by removing old shower tower once new one has arrived and inspect how much additional work will need to be done (such as drilling new holes in tile for mounting brackets and if Sheetrock will also need to be cut to reconnect new supply lines to pipes in the wall. Water pressure to home is at a safe level at 60psi.
Customer had an extremely slow drip, on outdoor ceiling of porch, this lines up closely to bathroom above. Plumber ran all fixtures in bathroom and splashed water onto trim but could not increase intensity of drip. Plumber does not want to perform demolition on outdoor ceiling and recommends to have ceiling opened up to continue searching for leak. Waived dispatch fee at this time.
Customer was experiencing a steady stream of water from PVC pipe to creek in back yard. Plumber inspected pipe and found it is a 4” PVC drain pipe with a backwater valve. Plumber tested downspouts drains and found they discharged via another pipe into creek. Found water meter registered no water usage until fixture was run. Plumber gave option to run camera but warned there may not be sufficient data to give a clear answer. Plumber is currently assuming the drain is coming from the storm drains and that there may be a leak before the meter or from someone else’s line and making its way into storm drains.
Dug about 8’ deep where root intrusion was located, cut out section of pipe up to 8’ length and replaced with new PVC pipe, included new clean-out installation as well. Connected ABS and PVC with mechanical couplings and packed concrete around mechanical couplings for reinforcement. Also to eliminated remaining polybutylene pipe in kitchen and rerun in new PEX-a pipe, ran new line behind wall and stubbed out in copper connecting to existing hose spigot, and installed new stop valves for kitchen sink and dishwasher. Reinstated water to home, purged as much air out of system and tested all installed components, set new water pressure to 55psi.
Customer was experiencing a leak in ceiling below bathtub, plumber initially performed a visual inspection of tub but could not find an obvious source, plumber proceeded to cut Sheetrock in ceiling below and perform tests in a process of elimination to find the source which was a failed waste and overflow gasket. Plumber replaced the gasket, resealed the overflow trim plate and throughly tested to ensure no further leaks were present.
Customer had fireplace capped by AGL, Plumber tested fireplace and found the shutoff valve to fireplace isn’t fully shutting off. Recapped fireplace and left quote to cut Sheetrock and replace shutoff valve. Waived dispatch fee due to office not mentioning it during scheduling.

Also replaced gas isolation valve and pig tail gas line at no extra charge. Reinstated water to home and purged as much air out as possible, tested all installed components and lit pilot light on water heater setting it to approximately 120°F.
Plumber inspected area to see how to run gas to install new gas lanterns on back porch, due to access this would be difficult and feasibility of installing lanterns would require coordination with a contractor for mounting onto brick and some demo of Sheetrock for running gas lines. Waived dispatch fee.
